Heroes never die!

This cosplay was built over a year of on and off progress and I poured my heart and soul into the problem solving and progress of Mercy's design. A lot of aspects of this cosplay were really challenging for me because I've never made wings, clean armour, worked with gradient dying or programmed an Arduino to control my weapon to spin. I expressed a lot of disappointment in myself throughout the progress of this cosplay, even though I took on this project knowing full well that it would challenge me in every single way. I experienced a lot of failures and change of direction when it came to my crafting approach, but after all the stress was done and I finally got to don my personal masterpiece the morning of the convention, I finally felt accomplished and proud of my work. 

Wearing Mercy around Blizzcon was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Words cannot describe how happy I felt that my costume fit perfectly, the amazing feedback and positive reactions I got from everyone who stopped me for a pic and seeing so many cosplay friends again. I was just overjoyed at my time, and the convention was one of the most memorable convention experiences I ever had. 

I also had the pleasure of winning honourable mention in the costume contest! I appreciate sharing the stage with so many amazing cosplayers, and I am truly honoured to be awarded such a title.
